California FTB Follows Federal R&D Credit Determinations, Attorney Says

Taxpayers with claims for the California research and development tax credit who are going through an audit, protest, or appeal should expect the Franchise Tax Board to accept federal determinations about the credit for the years at issue, and should speak up if the FTB staff members on their cases argue otherwise, an attorney for the FTB said.
