Nicholas Gravante and Phil Iovieno, who co-led the litigation practice at Cadwalader until they resigned to avoid conflicts of interest in an upcoming merger, joined Mintz, the firm said Monday.
Three other Cadwalader partners, who along with Gravante and Iovieno resigned Feb. 6, also joined Mintz Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo. They are Sean O’Shea, Michael Petrella, and Matthew Karlan.
“This group is widely recognized as one of the most formidable litigation teams in New York,” Seth Goldman, chair of Mintz’s antitrust, employment, and litigation division, said in a statement.
