Biden Names Director of Cancer ‘Moonshot’ Initiative

Vice President Joe Biden has tapped Greg Simon, the founding president of medical research think tank FasterCures, as executive director of the cancer “moonshot” initiative.

Simon is still a member of the board of FasterCures, part of the Milken Institute, and currently is chief executive of Poliwogg, which provides financial services to life sciences companies. He’s also worked in both chambers of Congress and was Vice President Al Gore’s chief domestic policy adviser.
