The Affordable Care Act’s insurance subsidies would be expanded and states would be encouraged to increase Medicaid coverage under a modified version of H.R. 1425, which also would direct the government to negotiate prices for expensive drugs.

ACA premium subsidies would be made available to all households and the size of the credit would be increased. Individuals covered by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program would be eligible for exchange plans and financial assistance under a manager’s amendment automatically adopted under the rule for floor consideration.
