Liab. Litig. (Mirena MDL Plaintiffs v. Bayer Healthcare Pharm. Inc.), 2017 BL 380237, 2d Cir., No. 16-2890-cv(L), 10/24/17).
The Mirena IUD is a plastic, T-shaped device that delivers hormones into the uterus to prevent pregnancy. The plaintiffs alleged the devices perforated and became embedded in the uterus, or migrated and caused other harm.
