Battery Charger Maker Wants SCOTUS To Review Wheelchair Wrongful Death Case

The U.S. Supreme Court has released a Taiwanese manufacturer’s redacted petition for review of an Oregon Supreme Court decision allowing the exercise of personal jurisdiction over the wheelchair part maker in a wrongful death case stemming from a house fire (China Terminal & Electric Corp., U.S., No. 12-525).

This would be the second time the jurisdictional issue in the case has reached the nation’s top court.
