Axsome Drops Generics Maker Hikma From Sunosi Drug Patent Case

A federal judge granted a joint request to drop Axsome Therapeutics Inc.'s patent claims against Hikma Pharmaceuticals Plc over proposed copies of Sunosi, leaving three generic-drug makers in the consolidated lawsuit.

The dismissal left open the door to renew allegations, but no further details of an agreement over copies of its treatment for daytime sleepiness were provided in Judge Madeline Cox Arleo’s order docketed Monday in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. She signed the order March 5.
