Aurobindo, SciDose Claim Ingenus Stole Secrets for Cancer Drug

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. and U.S. partner SciDose LLC said a recently approved cancer treatment from Ingenus Pharmaceuticals LLC was developed with stolen trade secrets and infringes a patent for formulations of cyclophosphamide, a widely used chemotherapy drug.

Ingenus, a generic-drug maker based in Orlando, Florida, used confidential information obtained during a previous research partnership it had with SciDose to develop its own cancer treatment, which doesn’t yet have a name, according to a lawsuitthat SciDose and India-based Aurobindo filed Wednesday in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware.
