Attorneys Seek Millions in Army Human Subject Abuse Case

Attorneys representing soldiers who were human test subjects during government-conducted chemical and biological weapons experiments are seeking $4.5 million in legal fees for their eight-year battle (Vietnam Veterans of America v. Central Intelligence Agency, N.D. Cal., No. 4:09-cv-00037, clerk’s notice 8/2/17).

If the law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP billed for all the hours it worked on this factually intense and technically complex pro bono case, it would have incurred fees well over $20 million, the law firm’s fee filing said.
