AbbVie, Novartis Drop Suit Over Kansas Drug Discount Limit Law

Pharmaceutical giants agreed to drop a lawsuit against a Kansas law that prohibits them from restricting discounts to pharmacies operating under a federal drug discount program.

Abbvie Inc., Novartis AG, AstraZeneca PLC, and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America backed down from their challenge against Kansas’ S.B. 28, filing a joint stipulation in the US District Court for the District of Kansas to dismiss the case without prejudice.
