Trump Urged to Stop ‘Second Guessing’ Climate Security Risks

The Trump administration should abort efforts to dispute and undermine U.S. military and intelligence assessments of risks from climate change, a former U.S. Navy official said at a hearing April 2.

“I was deeply concerned when media reports indicated that members of the National Security Council staff were seeking to establish a panel to conduct adversarial reviews” of climate assessments, Retired Vice Admiral Dennis McGinn said in written testimony at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing.
