Bloomberg Law’s “PFAS Project” is a centralized resource for anyone interested in developments on the environmental, legislative and legal implications regarding the chemical compounds known as “forever chemicals.” PFAS compounds have been used to make Teflon pans, Scotchgard, and hundreds of other products, and have made it into the bloodstream of nearly every American.
The chemicals have been linked to cancers, liver damage, low birth weight, and other health problems. Of greatest concern to regulators has been their presence in drinking water supplies across the country.
This project aims to highlight the national impact of these chemicals and key regulatory, legal, and other developments through daily breaking news coverage, in-depth data, analysis, and explanatory and investigative journalism.
