Coty Gets Dismissal of CoverGirl Mascara Hidden PFAS Lawsuit

Coty Inc. shook off, for now, a proposed class suit alleging it hid the presence of PFAS in CoverGirl mascara, continuing a string of dismissals in cosmetics suits.

Judge Analisa Torres of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed the case without prejudice, saying plaintiff Deborah Brown didn’t offer enough detail to support claims that Coty duped consumers by failing to disclose the “forever chemicals.”
