Long Island’s Lee Zeldin is under consideration to replace Pam Bondi as US attorney general after President Donald Trump fired her, sources tell my Bloomberg colleagues.

Zeldin, now Trump’s EPA administrator, represented Suffolk County for four US House terms before losing his bid to replace Gov. Kathy Hochul in 2022. An Albany Law School grad, he’s sought to cut the EPA’s size and scope since his 2025 confirmation.
