Weinstein juror raises fairness concerns

Harvey Weinstein is awaiting a verdict this week from jurors who, according to one, aren’t getting along.

A juror described by Weinstein’s attorney as a 25 year-old who lives with his grandma told the judge Friday the deliberations are “not fair and just.”

“Playground stuff” is taking place, with “shunning happening,” the juror said, looking at the defense table.

Judge Curtis Farber declined the juror’s request to exit the panel and then denied Weinstein’s request for a mistrial. Farber said the juror’s concerns didn’t rise to the level of a mistrial. “Perhaps his youth makes him particularly uncomfortable with conflict,” ...
