President Donald Trump is due to argue in a brief today that a federal court should review his hush-money conviction, his latest shot at undoing the verdict that made him the only president with a felony record.
Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein has twice denied Trump’s bid to transfer the case from state to federal court. But on this go, Trump’s bolstered by a Second Circuit decision saying Hellerstein didn’t properly consider the 2024 Supreme Court ruling giving presidents broad immunity from criminal charges.
