Trump’s E. Jean Carroll Loss Spurs Dissent
President Donald Trump failed to convince the Second Circuit to give him another shot at overturning an $83.3 million penalty in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation lawsuit, but the decision yielded majority-vs.-dissent sparring, Beth Wang reports.
The majority rejected Trump’s bid to argue en banc for nixing the award to Carroll, who says Trump sexually assaulted her and defamed her by calling her a liar.
