Touchstream’s Patent Trial Against Comcast Ends in Settlement

Several Comcast Corp. units resolved a patent infringement dispute with Touchstream Technologies Inc. in the midst of a jury trial concerning video streaming technology.

Comcast Cable Communications LLC, doing business as Xfinity, two other Comcast units, and Touchstream notified the court Friday they resolved Touchstream’s claims and were dropping the dispute, according to a joint motion to dismiss filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The companies requested the case be dismissed with prejudice, and stated each party will bear their costs and fees.
