Teladoc Health Inc. failed to convince a federal judge Wednesday to toss most claims that the telehealth provider improperly disclosed patients’ sensitive health data when it installed the Facebook tracking pixel on its website.
The US District Court for the Southern District of New York allowed proposed class claims for violations of the Electronic Communication Privacy Act and state consumer protection laws. The court, however, trimmed claims for negligence and breach of implied contract.
