The founder of the sexual wellness company OneTaste was sentenced Monday to nine years in prison for her role in a forced-labor scheme involving employees and participants in the firm’s educational courses who were coerced to perform sex acts.

Nicole Daedone, who co-founded OneTaste in 2004, was convicted in June after a jury in Brooklyn, New York, determined she and another OneTaste executive, Rachel Cherwitz, coerced victims — primarily women — into providing unpaid or underpaid menial labor.
