A group of well-heeled New Yorkers are using their wealth and marketing savvy in a bid to make littering uncool.
A new seven-figure ad campaign and public education initiative studded with local celebrities and influencers is pushing the message, “Don’t Do New York City Dirty.”
As Mayor Eric Adams continues his efforts for a “trash revolution” to clean up the city through government efforts, this latest initiative comes from the Sanitation Foundation, a nonprofit whose board boasts the likes of philanthropist Caryl Englander and legendary music producer Tommy Mottola.
