NYU to Build New Multi-Billion Dollar Hospital on Long Island

NYU Langone Health is constructing a multi-billion dollar academic medical center and hospital on Long Island.

The new hospital in Melville will include 500 private inpatient rooms, 70 emergency department bays and the latest diagnostic imaging capabilities, the healthcare system said in a statement on Tuesday. The campus will also have space for scientific research and comprehensive outpatient care.

“As a lifelong Long Islander, I couldn’t be more proud to see NYU Langone continue investing in this remarkable community,” said Ken Langone, the billionaire co-founder of Home Depot Inc. and chair emeritus of the hospital system’s board of trustees. ...
