NYC Knicks Parade Packs Downtown With Fans, Cops, Confetti (1)

New York has spent days celebrating the Knicks’ NBA Championship. On Thursday, the city reveled in the decades-in-the-making victory with the team.

A ticker-tape parade stepped off from Bowling Green in Lower Manhattan, traveling north along Broadway. Players including Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns — accompanied by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the state’s governor, Kathy Hochul — rolled along the “Canyon of Heroes” on floats, waving to sidewalks crammed with fans, many of whom had been waiting for hours to get a glimpse of the champs.
