New York, New Jersey Sue Trump Administration Over Tunnel Funds

The Trump administration was sued again — this time by the states of New York and New Jersey — over its cutoff of financing for the $16 billion Gateway rail tunnel under the Hudson River.

A day after the public commission overseeing the project filed its suit, the states alleged in a complaint Tuesday that the suspension of funds for the Hudson Tunnel Project is a “politically motivated attempt to punish and coerce those with whom the President disagrees.”
