Harvey Weinstein trial hits closing phase

The judge presiding over Harvey Weinstein’s retrial had news for jurors on Friday: After over a month of hearing evidence, they’d finally start deliberating this week. But exactly when—and who they’ll hear from before that—remains up in the air.

That’s because the defense may have one big witness left before the case goes to the 12-person jury. Weinstein is making a game-time decision about whether he’s taking the stand after talking with his lawyers over the weekend at his Bellevue Hospital jail cell, lead Weinstein attorney Arthur Aidala told reporters.
