Mistrial Declared for Ex-Hochul Aide Accused of Acting for China

A mistrial was declared in the case of a former top aide to New York governors Kathy Hochul and Andrew Cuomo accused of acting as an unregistered foreign agent for China in exchange for millions of dollars in kickbacks.

Jurors in federal court in Brooklyn, New York, told a judge Monday they were unable to reach a unanimous decision on allegations that Linda Sun secretly acted on behalf of China, including blocking representatives of Taiwan from access to the highest levels of state government, while working for both governors.
