Leech Gets Wamco Trader ‘Parlor Game’ Excluded From Fraud Trial

Former Western Asset Management Co. Co-Chief Investment Officer Ken Leech succeeded in getting testimony about an alleged “parlor game” among his fellow traders excluded from his upcoming fraud trial.

Leech is scheduled to face a jury in June over charges that he assigned $600 million in winning trades between 2021 and 2023 to favored clients while sticking others with losses. Federal prosecutors had hoped to introduce evidence that other Wamco traders engaged in a game more than a decade earlier in which they allegedly tried to “reconstruct” Leech’s allocations.
