New York firms are among Big Law’s top M&A advisers in a third quarter boosted by record large deals.
Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz guided global transactions worth nearly $452 billion in the first three quarters of the year, my colleagues Mahira Dayal and Atthar Mirza report in Bloomberg Law’s league tables.
While that put the New York-founded Wachtell second to Los Angeles-founded Latham & Watkins (with $499 billion in deals), Wachtell pulled it off in 68 deals to Latham’s 500-plus.
