Knicks Tell Mamdani to Stop Using Team Logo in Campaign Ad (1)

The New York Knicks sent Zohran Mamdani, the frontrunner in next month’s mayoral election, a cease-and-desist for the use of the team’s iconic logo in his campaign ad.

Mamdani ran an ad during the home opener Wednesday that ended by flashing the team’s blue and orange basketball logo with “Zohran” in place of “Knicks.”

“The Knicks want to make it clear that we do not endorse Mr. Mamdani for Mayor, and we object to his use of our copyrighted logo,” a spokesman for the Knicks said in a statement. “We will pursue all legal remedies to enforce our rights.” ...
