New York Jets coach Steve Wilks’ former attorney in a race bias suit against the NFL is facing a contempt of court threat by a Manhattan federal judge after failing to appear at a sanctions hearing Tuesday.
Judge Valerie Caproni’s bench ruling ordering Michael Caspino to show cause as to why he shouldn’t be held in contempt is the latest escalation of Caproni’s threats to penalize the attorney for a series of alleged misdeeds, including appearing to misrepresent whether he was admitted to practice in New York.
