A former top adviser to Eric Adams faces new charges over allegations she accepted $75,000 in bribes, reigniting a corruption scandal with only a few months left in the embattled New York mayor’s longshot reelection campaign.

Ingrid Lewis-Martin allegedly accepted bribes, some of which were directed to her son’s bank account, while serving as chief adviser to Adams, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in a statement Thursday. Lewis-Martin and her son were indicted on separate bribery charges in December last year.
