Ex-NBA Player Damon Jones Pleads Not Guilty to Gambling Plot (1)

Former National Basketball Association player Damon Jones, one of more than two dozen people charged in federal probes of illegal sports betting, pleaded not guilty to charges he fed inside information to gamblers and helped to rig poker games.

Jones, 49, was charged in two separate indictments filed by the office of Brooklyn US Attorney Joseph Nocella last month that included Portland Trailblazers Coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier. Jones played 11 years in the NBA and later worked as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
