Combs prosecutors face high bar, attorneys say

Manhattan federal prosecutors have elicited weeks of dramatic evidence against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

But whether jurors find the provocative testimony proves federal crimes were committed remains an open question.

“He can be a jealous jerk and a stalking psychopath, and that’s separate and distinct from whether he headed a criminal conspiracy,” former Manhattan state prosecutor Jeremy Saland told me.

The latest high-profile witness against Combs took the stand Thursday, with the rapper Kid Cudi telling jurors Combs had “something to do with” Cudi’s car exploding. (The judge sustained an objection to that comment.)
