City’s Elite Schools Defeat Race Bias Suit

New York’s highest court threw out a suit alleging discrimination against Black and Latino students in admissions to New York City’s most elite public schools, allowing the schools to continue a screening process that’s become a polarizing political issue.

The Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that the suing students failed to adequately allege discriminatory intent behind the admissions policies, my colleague Chris Dolmetsch reports.
