The Second Circuit will hear a challenge to New York City’s handgun restrictions today, giving the appeals court a chance to lay out what hurdles the city can put up to firearm ownership.

A group of residents are appealing a Manhattan district court ruling upholding the city’s $300+ fees on applying for handguns, requisite 90-day waiting period between firearm purchases, and two-gun cap on carry licenses.
