Bill Ackman’s Quest for Pro Tennis Win Falls Short in Early Exit

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman was unsuccessful in his professional tennis debut on Wednesday, failing to become the oldest player to receive official ATP ranking points.

The 59-year-old, who was paired with doubles Grand Slam champion-turned-pickleball-pro Jack Sock, lost to Omar Jasika and Bernard Tomic 6-1 7-5 at the Hall of Fame Open.

Jasika and Tomic breezed through the first set, winning it in 21 minutes. Ackman struggled with his serve and lacked consistent baseline play but managed to hit clean volley finishes at the net.
