LaGuardia Crash Kills Two After Canadian Jet Hits Fire Truck (1)

An Air Canada Express plane with 76 people aboard collided with a fire truck shortly after landing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport late Sunday, killing the two pilots.

The captain and co-pilot died in the collision that occurred at about 11:40 p.m., the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said early Monday. Forty-one people — including two airport rescue officers — were taken to the hospital. The airport reopened at 2 p.m. local time, although the Port Authority warned travelers to expect residual delays and cancellations.
