Rising inflation, a flat job market, soaring fuel prices and collateral damage from Donald Trump’s trade war have put affordability at the center of the US political conversation. A CNN poll published earlier this month found 73% of Americans rate economic conditions poorly, with 61% saying they have caused them to modify grocery stores purchases.
