Zillow Responds in Simmering Battle Over How Homes Are Sold (1)

Zillow Group Inc. has responded in the ongoing real estate legal battle over property listings, denying claims from rival Compass Inc. that it has engaged in anticompetitive tactics.

Zillow filed court documents in Manhattan Thursday asking a judge to deny a request from New York-based Compass for a temporary order that would prevent the Seattle property giant from blocking certain listings from its popular home-search website while the lawsuit proceeds.
