Wells Fargo Makes Hogan Sole M&A Head as DeNunzio Named Chairman

Veteran dealmaker David DeNunzio has stepped down as co-head of global mergers and acquisitions at Wells Fargo & Co. to focus on advising clients.

DeNunzio, who joined Wells Fargo in 2016 to help build out the San Francisco-based lender’s investment banking business, has been named chairman of global M&A, according to an internal company memo reviewed by Bloomberg News.

“In that role he will focus on building more ‘trusted advisor’ relationships with our clients across all industry sectors,” Tim O’Hara, head of banking, said in the memo.
