Wells Fargo Hires Deutsche Bank Technology Banker Greg Thorne

Wells Fargo & Co. has hired investment banker Greg Thorne from Deutsche Bank AG to cover software companies.

Thorne is joining the bank in San Francisco as a managing director in its technology, media and telecom coverage group, according to a statement Wednesday. He will report to Gerry Walters, Wells Fargo’s head of technology within the corporate and investment banking coverage group.

A Deutsche Bank spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Thorne is a seasoned M&A banker and valuable addition to Wells Fargo, David Gillespie, head of corporate and investment banking coverage, said in the statement. ...
