Vivendi Said to Rebuff Mediahuis Interest in Buying Prisa Stake

Vivendi SA, the second-largest shareholder in Prisa SA, has rebuffed interest from Mediahuis NV in its stake in the Spanish publisher, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Closely held Mediahuis recently contacted the French media group to express interest in acquiring its 12% holding in Prisa, the people said, asking not to be identified as the matter isn’t public. Vivendi rebuffed the approach and indicated it wasn’t interested in further talks, according to the people.
