UniCredit Appeals Ruling Over Italy’s Demands for Banco BPM Deal

UniCredit SpA appealed a court ruling related to its failed bid for Banco BPM SpA that left in place some of the conditions imposed by the government for a deal to go ahead.

The bank’s board has decided to appeal as a way to clarify the regulatory framework for future consolidation moves, people familiar with the matter said, asking to not be named discussing private information.
