UBS Names U.K. Dealmaker Roberts to Head Europe Activist Defense

UBS Group AG has appointed veteran U.K. dealmaker David Roberts to head its activist defense business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Roberts will partner with Aneliya Crawford, who leads the practice globally out of New York, according to an internal memo seen by Bloomberg News. He has worked in the British team of UBS’s investment bank for 16 years, advising on a range of public and private defense and activist situations.
