Swiss Bourse Books Third Impairment Tied to Worldline Stake

Switzerland’s stock exchange SIX Group AG reported a third impairment tied to its stake in French payments provider firm Worldline SA.

SIX adjusted the value of its 10.5% stake in Worldline by 69.3 million Swiss francs ($87 million), after its shares declined, the exchange said in a statement on Monday. The likely impairment was previously reported by Bloomberg News.

Since the fourth quarter of 2023, SIX has booked total impairments on its Worldline holdings of almost 1.1 billion francs. That’s put the bourse at a disadvantage to industry peers, which have been using acquisitions to expand.
