Stonepeak’s Brian McMullen Is Set to Launch Private Equity Fund

Stonepeak’s Brian McMullen has left the alternative asset manager’s infrastructure arm to launch a technology, media and telecommunications-focused private equity fund, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

McMullen, a senior managing director, is set to be backed by Stonepeak in his new endeavor and the vehicle will initially sit within Stonepeak, said some of the people, all of whom requested anonymity discussing the move. He was most recently head of communications infrastructure at Stonepeak.

A Stonepeak spokeswoman declined to comment.
