State Grid, GEB in Talks to Buy Brookfield’s Brazil Power Line

State Grid Corp. of China and Grupo Energia Bogota are in talks to acquire a power line from Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. in Brazil, according to people familiar with the matter.

The firms are in talks to buy the Mantiqueira power line from Brookfield’s Quantum Participacoes SA, said the people, who asked not to be named as the negotiations are private. The discussions are in early stages and may not result in a deal, the people said.
