Starwood Capital Hires Blackstone Real Estate Alum Qahir Madhany

Barry Sternlicht’s Starwood Capital Group has hired former Blackstone Inc. managing director Qahir Madhany, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

Madhany has joined Starwood’s New York office, said the person, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. His role at Starwood couldn’t immediately be learned.

A Starwood spokesman declined to comment.

Madhany joined Blackstone’s real estate group in 2015 and left at the end of 2022, his LinkedIn profile shows.
