Squarepoint Hires Ex-Carlson Capital Event-Driven Chief Jesse Ho

Hedge fund Squarepoint Capital LLP has hired Jesse Ho, a longtime veteran and former senior partner at Carlson Capital, to focus on event-driven trading.

Ho started in his new role at Squarepoint this month and is based in New York. A Squarepoint spokesperson confirmed his hiring.

Ho previously led event-driven strategies at Carlson, where he worked for more than two decades in London and Dallas. During his time at Carlson, Ho focused on merger arbitrage and special situations, according to his LinkedInprofile. A Carlson spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
