BarkBox will be acquired by blank check company Northern Star Acquisitions in a $1.6b deal including debt, Dow Jones reports, citing people familiar with the matter.

• Deal could be announced as soon as Thursday.
• Northern Star is expected to raise $454m.
• New funding will be used to push BarkBox’s expansion overseas and boost new and existing product lines, the people told DJ.
